Uh-uh. Ohio government, under Republican direction, has spent years intentionally "starving the beast" in favor of corporate subsidies and tax cuts for the rich. $775 million in cuts to health care and education (behold "the beast") is a choice, not a need.
Policy Matters Ohio has published extensively on this. "Tax breaks lower tax liability for a person, business or other entity. They represent revenue forgone, taxpayer dollars the state could take in but has decided not to.
The State of Ohio has 134 tax expenditures representing $9.1 billion in annual revenue the state will relinquish in 2019…"

I've been waiting for a chance to acknowledge that there is a chance that the virus might go away on its own, but I wouldn't bet my life on it.
This is where I placed my bet instead: last night I spent $50 to order more face masks. Good to have in my car, my pockets, my house, for other house members and the rare guest, etc. Also got some hand sanitizer at Target. It's pretty foul smelling, but good to have just in case.
