"Hospital Is Gone Get Over It"

Could a thinking person, one with reason and common sense believe...
"Yes the hospital is closed, but would you mind if I remember the fools that closed it for $1?"
I understand where you are coming from completely.
But during this crazy election time of year, should we just shrug it off, OR remember the fools that liquidated $248 million in community owned assets, 7 acres of prime land, ALL going to supporters, sponsors, and friends of Ed FitzGerald, Mayor Summers, and boy king in waiting.
STORY TIME
I had a friend that always wanted to drive my cars, but he always broke them, crashed, destroyed them.
Well not them, I mean it. I am not so stupid as to forget who drove my car into the ditch when they ask to borrow a car again.
Get over it?
Some of us can actually work for the future while remembering our past.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
That’s why it’s SO important to NOT repeat the past.
We need to move into a new era of truth and transparency. Pols who work for US, not for themselves.

We have a library, public parks, trash collection, historical society, water services and on and on and on.
All could be liquidated or privatized.
If your theory was correct, they would be no outside money pouring into Lakewood. However it is.
Always makes me think why.

Mr. Costa, please explain to my why the Lakewood Public Library can't follow the same path as Lakewood Hospital.
All the arguments for closing it and redeveloping the real estate are the same.
"Reading is changing!" --Etc, etc.
Some other library in Avon can pick-up the slack.

Avon = West Lakewood (or is it New Lakewood?)

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Ryan was being facetious, since he specifically said they can't liquidate any more hospitals...
Folks are a bit edgy in the Neighborhood...

The hopital was a significant source of revenue to the city. Someday there will be an accounting that will confirm Mark Kindt's, not Jenn Pae's, and the books will have to be balanced - one way or another.

I see it more like, people are nervous.
Which is rational.
Once you have been robbed, every branch on the tree that scrapes the house, or wind blowing at the windows makes you jump.
Imagine seeing the very person from the first robbery getting out of a car in front of your house again.
Now imagine watching that accomplice walk up the stairs to your house.
Edgy makes perfect sense.
Paul, on the side, think of how nice and peaceful Lakewood was before the FitzGerald Administration.
Go back and read about the city before FitzGerald, and after FitzGerald, Summers, O'Leary.
The community has been extremely polarized since month 6 of FitzGerald. Ironically the start of all the secret dealings. These secret dealing bubbled up to become the source of two of the largest splits in Lakewood's history.
Think back Paul to when we first met. We still talked about good and bad in the community. But City Hall didn't go to war over things. City Hall never turned loose their idiot thugs and sycophants to harass businesses and residents.
No before FitzGerald, conversations were permitted and not controlled in nearly every alley of information.
Those days are so easy to go back to. Open honest, accountable government has been missing since FitzGerald.
Almost hard to remember how open and democratic this city once was.
