Budish Machine Makes Lakewood Endorsements

As we all know, embattled Party Boss Armond Budish is currently under federal investigation due to a series of deaths in the county jail.
He's even hired disgraced former prosecutor Bill Mason to help try to save his hide.

But that didn't stop the Cuyahoga County Democratic Machine from making endorsements this weekend for the 2019 Lakewood Elections.

Here they are:

Mayor: Sam O'Leary
Ward 1: Lindsey Grdina
Ward 2: Jason Schachner
Ward 3: John Litten
Ward 4: Dan O'Malley

Not surprisingly, they are rallying around the Team Summers candidates.
The Party will spend heavily to get this crew elected....since this is an odd year election, suburban races are top priority for the county party.

The county machine failed last spring in its attempt to send Martin Sweeney and Tom Bullock to Columbus.
I hope Lakewood voters are again smart enough to reject this slate in favor of new, transparent leadership.

A corrupt local government led by a corrupt Dem party.

Nothing ever changes. They endorse men who sexually harass women, incumbents who’ve lied to constituents, and so on.

I think by now, anyone with a brain can see this party isn’t for the people, but for themselves and their tightly knit band of brothers.

This time, send a message and VOTE THEM ALL OUT!

Do not vote for anyone endorsed by the corrupt local Dem party.

Can someone make a list of all the good high quality candidates who have been spurned by the machine? That would make a pretty good campaign ad for those wjo have not been endorsed. Nickie Antonio, Mike Skindell, Meghan George, Tristan Rader, many others. That's elite company.

I meant to put this post here instead of Fork In The Road:

It’s important to a lot of people that the City of Lakewood be controlled by a Mayor and Council that has a regional outlook.

When news first broke that Lakewood Hospital would be moved to Avon our finance director stated that it didn’t matter because the region wouldn’t lose anything. I found that odd. Nobody at County government is pushing Westlake to get the regional spirit and share the wealth. Nobody at County government is pushing Parma to close its hospital and move it to Medina.

I am not aware of any public official in any city in Cuyahoga County that believes that losing a major employer to Lorain or Medina County is no big deal because the region won’t lose anything.

We can’t get back the Hospital.

We can’t get back the $70 million or so in cash that was transferred to private foundations.

We can’t get back 1,500 high paying medical jobs.

We can’t get back $2 million per year in rent and income tax revenue.

We can’t get back land and real estate sold for pennies on the dollar.

We CAN get back City Hall and restore honest government.

This election will give the people of Lakewood an opportunity to elect a clean slate. It’s important to a lot of people that we fail.

Yes, which is why the Dem machine pulled another fast one in an attempt to get their boy Sammy elected.

Here are the 2019 Lakewood candidates snubbed by the party leadership.
Mayor: Meghan George
Ward 1: Laura Rodriguez Carbone
Ward 2: Brad Presutto
Ward 3: Jeff Wise
