Summers responded to a report that burglaries have gone way up in Lakewood in the past 10 years with an excuse that multiple burglaries at the same address were counted more than once. He cites an example of a storage facility that was broken into and 94 units entered. He claimed that should count as one “incident.”
Well I wonder if any of those 94 different people that had their property taken or violated would feel better knowing that was counted as only one incident?
Ninety four people impacted by theft, but don’t worry people, it was only ONE crime!
Summers thinks data is being manipulated - I think he’s manipulating!
So an apartment complex gets burgled and 6 units are robbed - that’s one crime because it was the same address on the same day?
That’s total BS.
