You can never be cynical enough when dealing with Three Arches and the Cleveland Clinic.

I received a flyer in the mail from Neighborhood Family practice. They are accepting new patients and will accept ALL insurance. Is this the same Neighborhood Family practice that is receiving on going cash subsidies from Three Arches?

I had always assumed that the $35 million Lakewood Hospital transferred to Three Arches would be used to relieve the Cleveland Clinic of obligations to provide charity care. It seems that another purpose is to destroy the independent medical practice in Lakewood.

Is Sam O'Leary aware of this?

Why should the people of Lakewood subsidize this organisation?

Is it fair that Three Arches is subsidizing a health care organization that competes with private practice physicians?

The policy seems to be to destroy the tax paying private medical business and taxpaying medical office building. Is that wise?

The net assets of Neighborhood Family Practice increased by over 60% in one year to about $6 million. Is it the policy of Three Arches to transfer its assets to this independent charity?

The policy to support his organization did not just happen. It was planned for years. Does anyone have any information on the public meetings held to discuss the distribution of public assets to private foundations?

I mentioned months ago that 3-Arches would/could be used as a simple pass thru for the Cleveland Clinic to what was North Coast Health Ministries. CCF had been their largest funder, and using 3 Arches as a pass thru makes it look like 3-Arches are raising money, something none of the board has been really good at. And paying out millions!

The scheme continues.

I received a very slick mailing from Neighborhood Family Practice. They are really pushing to establish their organization as a competitor to Premier Physicians and other independent doctors and specialists.

Their tax exempt status and the millions in subsidies they will receive from the Three Arches Foundation will certainly give them a competitive advantage. They will probably succeed in driving the independent doctor out of business. What then?

Destroying Lakewood Hospital and transferring $70 million or so in Hospital funds to private foundations was part of a bigger plan. What was the plan? A clue can be found in the fact that Neighborhood Family Practice is controlled by the Cleveland Clinic.
