A big thank you to the person that slid the 1917 paper under my door. It was a real eye opener, and the lead story is reprinted in this issue. It is amazing how the generation, that gave birth to the greatest generation, worked their asses off for those that came after them. Looking 100 years or more into the future of the USA and Lakewood. Transpose that with the Baby Boomers that have decided it is time to do it all for us. The article by Alice M. Brook in this issue should be read by every person in Lakewood. It is amazing, and what community is all about.
