Lakewood loves being number one. And with the Mayor and the Three Arches Foundation dedicated to making Lakewood the healthiest City in America, the new "award" came with some thoughts, and a look back. After all Lakewood is the city that has been placed on a march to the future, based on it being walkable, and filled with restaurants and bars. But it is also the City that has claimed it has placed residents' health and wellness as the number one priority.
Then Lakewood is earns "Most stressful city in Ohio" by some group named Zippia.

To make this determination they looked at many issues: Unemployment, Hours Worked, Commute Times, Population Density, Home Price to Income Ratio, Percent of Uninsured Population. So their results are extremely narrow, but would seem to line up. I really don't believe in these things, and know nothing of Zippia, but I know the City sure crows about them when they come out.
One thing I have learned is, STRESS IS THE KILLER.
City Hall you already screwed up the honest, transparent and accountable thingy you all promised on your campaign literature. Now you are not just failing in delivering health and wellness but failing at a monumental level. What was for decades the greatest place to raise a family. The City of Homes and Porches. Now the number one stressful community...
The City that had, until the FitzGerald/Summers Administration, dedicated themselves to education and knowledge, and the best place to raise a family, has changed. Well at least we can get beer and shots for $2 bucks!
Is now known as the "Most Stressful In Ohio."
WTF over.
