LFD's National Fallen Firefighter Memorial Day Ceremony

Lakewood fire trucks gathered out side of Fire Station 1, for the Memorial Service, and a chance to salute retirees, and witness the swearing in of four new firefighters.
This event draws a nice crowd, and of course family members for the four retirees and four new firefighters.
Mayor Michael P. Summers listens as Fire Chief Scott Gilman addresses the crowd speaking of those that have given their lives.
Junior Fire Chief Connor Coleman reads his award winning essay to the crowd.
