The Lakewood High School History Club invites you to a slide show/presentation: Native American History of Resistance to Colonialism, 1492-Present. The program will be held Sunday, October 7 at 7 pm in the Lakewood Public Library Auditorium. LHS History Club co-president sophomore Alexis Coniku and Dr. G are the presenters. You might know about the Trail of Tears, Custar and the Sand Creek Massacre, but might not know about Elouise Cobell, Wilma Mankiller and the Water Protectors. All are welcome!

Congratulations are in order to Dr. G and his exemplary student team for their detailed and meaningful presentation this evening.
This is a delicate and sensitive topic that has long been close to my own heart.
It was gratifying to see a full house there as well, with standing room only.
Outreach events like this one really show what's going on with the Lakewood Schools.
Wonderful job!
