Another Wrong Financial Prediction by Pae

During the hospital debacle, city finance director Jennifer Pae made many statements that seemed very questionable, if not completely untrue.

Remember the “empty bricks and mortar” quote and how the city deal actually left us with empty bricks and mortar?

Or the dismissive opinion that Metro’s offer to come into and invest in Lakewood was ignored because, according to her “expert” ananlysis, they weren’t financially strong enough to do so.

Well, now we’ve seen Metro open new facilities throughout the county and embark on a plan to totally transform their main campus.

Today, we learn they now have permission, and plans, to expand outside of Cuyahoga County to provide care to the underserved.

What a complete tragedy that Lakewood lost this opportunity to partner with Metro, and provide care to the underserved, thanks to the incompetence of Summers, Pae, and their ilk.

A really bold transformational project would have included Metros offer to make Lakewood Hospital its premier Westside facility.

Around the time Mayor Summers was planning the destruction of the Hospital the Lakewood Center building was sold for a fraction of its assessed value. Imagine if the Hospital had purchased the whole complex, tore It down and replaced it with a Tri-C health care learning center, new condos and more. Imagine a real family health center on the site of the Clinics fake family health center. Imagine the City maintaining control of $40 million in Foundation cash.

Instead the City gets the opportunity to donate nearly 6 acres of land to one of the Mayors friends.

Isn't it interesting how Jen "The Mouthpiece" Pae has disappeared from the internet?
During the Hospital Robbery she spent a large part of her work day online defending Summers all across the social media landscape.

She eventually retreated to her own "Fakewood" Facebook page, which she created a couple years ago to surreptitiously promote City Hall.
That group conducted a massive purge of members earlier this year, so that now only select members of "Team Summers" can see the page.

That page has apparently fallen out of favor even among City Hall acolytes.....Summers bootlick Corey Rossen started yet another Lakewood Facebook group a few months ago. So now there at least four "Lakewood" Facebook groups.

Paraphrasing Mr. O'Bryan from another post today:

Non-bikers and highly-paid lawyers "loot" lauded and treasured public asset of Lakewood and Westside--Most Residents Appalled by Brazen Raids on Public Treasury. Feds Do Nothing.

Compare and contrast council votes of December 21, 2015 and May 7, 2018 with short rides on fast machines on August 12, 2018.

The only difference was that the lawyers held licenses and some of the motorists did not.

The public interest litigation did establish the definitive answer on this for the public through the deposition of the mayor and public documents finally produced to Mr. Essi after several years of litigation.

There was no analysis performed. Despite years of public interest litigation, none has ever been discovered. None exists.

The public documents gained by Mr. Essi through his ongoing public records litigation show that Metro (with its $100M proposal) was simply ignored by the LHA committee.

Ms. Pae's opinions were all created by her post hoc.

Her OPINION, which was based on NOTHING. She did not have access to Metro’s financial records nor would she be qualified to make a judgement on that even if she saw them.

Simply the worst Mayor and Administration in the history of Lakewood.

Their actions, and also lack of actions bring them extremely close to being a criminal enterprise, complete with enforcers.

A City Council that is either complicit or afraid to exercise their power.

Which adds up to a building at 12650 Detroit Ave. that is unable to function as "for the people."

Mayor is not held in check by, council. Legal unable to be held in check by the courts. All of it slips through other checks and balances while City Hall still fights the release of thousands of pages of documents ruled PUBLIC by the courts. Many that have nothing to do with the hospital but instead deal with the way City Hall is run.

Through it all City Services Streets, Garbage, Police and Fire function better than most cities, so I suppose we should be happy about that.
