Police Catch 5/3rd Bank Robbery Suspect

Re: Reported Bank Robbery- Fifth Third Bank 1616 W117th
On Thursday August 2, 2018 at 9:54am the Lakewood Police Department received calls from the Fifth-Third Bank at 1616 W117th reporting a robbery. Employees and witnesses gave a description of the suspect who was left the area on foot. Responding officers located a suspect who matched the description provided. The suspect was stopped and arrested at the W117th and Madison RTA station. RTA police officers on the scene also assisted.
The suspect, Ahmed Mohammed Khafaga a 46 yr old Cleveland resident has been charged with Robbery. He is being held on a $10,000.00 cash or surety bond.
Our investigation into this case is continuing.
