Accident Closes Down One Lane Of Clifton Blvd.

Yesterday evening around 7 pm a call went out for an accident and the need to close down Clifton Blvd.

Quick response by Lakewood Police and Fire during a busy period in the day was able to keep Westbound Clifton open but down to one lane. "Airbags deployed" means the nearly head on accident happened with a force that would equal running into a brick wall at 30 mph.

Luckily it would seem the air bags did their job and no one was seriously injured though one was transported to Fairview Hospital to be checked out.

The accident was spread out over a large area with debris in all four lanes at first.

Hall and Clifton Blvd.
Within an hour the cars were towed, streets cleaned, people checked out and all was back to normal in Lakewood.
Good work Lakewood Police and Fire!
