The expansion of the current Westlake campus on the border Lorain County will offer easy access for residents of Lorain County. The campus will expand its partnership with the Cleveland Clinics new Avon Health Center. Students, patients and employees can move to Lorain and Vermillion and beyond and still be only 15 minutes away!!
This is all so confusing. I thought that encouraging urban sprawl was a bad thing? Wasn’t it Tri-C that wanted to increase tuition to offer bus subsidies to students? How is the bus service to this Lorain Campus?
Imagine a new Lakewood Hospital on Detroit, a new (real) family health center across the street and a new Tri-C campus on the site of the Lakewood Center Building as part of a multistory condominium project. All of it located on a major bus line within walking distance of 50,000 people with easy access to affordable housing just minutes from downtown. All supported by $70 million in foundation assets!
