Checking In With The Bald Eagles...

Between Rocky River Reservation, and Avon Lake, we have 7 Bald Eagle eaglets. Bald Eagles have a 15 mile range for foraging, so we often see any one of these in the skies over Lakewood, and along the lake shore. They are often seen off of Riverside Drive witting in the trees fishing in the rapids near the dog park. Here are a couple images to keep us up to date.

The eaglets are now nearly as big as mom and certainly bigger than a good roasting chicken.

Mom and Dad continue to change off every 15 minutes with needed food, but are spending more and more time outside of the nest as the young ones hop around and try out their wings.
Meanwhile overhead...

The parents continue to bring in more branches to build up the sides of the nest.

In an effort to keep them from hopping out.

And of course, the endless supply of food...
