New LHS Football Coach News

According to sources, Lakewood High School is expected to hire Tom Thome as its next football coach.
Thome has several years experience at Twinsburg High School, most recently serving as defensive coordinator.
Details are still scarce, more info will be shared as it becomes available.

I met coach Thome at the boys basketball game last night. Expect to see a full interview in the print Observer sometime this spring.
In our brief conversation I did learn a couple things:
*He's very excited about the job.
*He will begin working inside the school this fall
*No, he is no relation to Jim Thome
*In fact, his name is pronounced differently. It rhymes with "home". So we have another Ed Favre/Brett Favre situation.
