At first glance this photo might appear to be a harmless new ventriloquism act.
However, it's actually something that Tom Bullock is trying to hide from Lakewoodites.

Here in Lakewood, Bullock is masquerading as a progressive Democrat in an effort to win primary votes in the upcoming State Rep race against Mike Skindell. Unlike his council races, Bullock will not be able to rely on his enthusiastic Republican supporters like Jay Foran. He's going to need ACTUAL progressive voters.
Bullock is talking a good game about integrity and inclusivity. However, behind closed doors he is cutting numerous endorsement deals within the County Democratic Machine, which itself is the epitome of the "old boys network".
One of those endorsement deals is with double-dipping sexual harasser Martin Sweeney, who is running against Nickie Antonio for State Senate.
As I told folks here months ago, Sweeney and Bullock have formed a "tag team" to defeat Skindell and Antonio, both popular Lakewoodites.

In his recent campaign announcement in the Observer, Bullock no mention of Sweeney. He obviously does not want to alienate Nickie Antonio's supporters here in Lakewood, so he's keeping Sweeney "on the down low". For example, Sweeney does not appear on his Facebook page.

However, Martin Sweeney recently let the cat out of the bag by posting the above photo on his facebook page. It included the caption "New Strong leadership to represent State House District 13", indicating a clear partnership.
Will Lakewoodites be duped into electing the "Anti-Lakewood Duo"? We shall see.

Bullock and Sweeney, the good old boys, are tag-teaming against Skindell and Antonio, two well-respected and hard working elected representatives with nary a scandal or skeleton in the closet.

Dissatisfaction with a person who has acted in ways contrary to respect for all might be more effectively demonstrated by focusing on those actions, than by labeling the person? Just from a practical standpoint?

Tom Bullock is not the only Lakewood politician who supports others with involvement in sexual harassment issues.

Per his FB page, Bullock garners Kaptur support:

“Tom Bullock has earned the support of his fellow citizens and of so many respected organizations because of his experience, integrity and leadership over the years. We need a proven fighter like Tom who can get things done for our communities. Tom Bullock will be the strong voice we need in Columbus.” - Representative Marcy Kaptur

I'm pleased to announce that this photo has struck a nerve with the Bullock camp (which pretty much consists of just party hacks and insiders).

Multuple Democratic Precinct Reps (all of them rubber stamps for Summers and Bullock) took to social media yesterday to defend Two-Face Tommy.
To borrow Bridget's phrase, the Democratic "Good Old Boys Club" is butt-hurt.
Team Summers is desperately circling the wagons.....lord knows what crap they will try in the next couple months.

Dad and I were BIG fans of Congressman Kucinich, but Marcy Kaptur has indeed been to Lakewood, and one of her early priorities here was to connect with seniors at the Lakewood Senior Center. I'll attach a photo of her and my dear late dad (Robert Rice) from 2012 on that occasion.

In my opinion, although I've NOT always agreed with her on a number of issues, Marcy Kaptur has (overall) done a great job, while having a challenging elongated district to cover.

I am glad that you love Marcy Kaptur because she came and took a photo with Bob(damn I miss that guy) and pandered to the Senior for votes, BUT she has done nothing for Lakewood except pretend early on that she might open and office here, which she never did.

She was completely silent on the Hospital merely echoing Sherrod Brown's Democratic mantra of, "The Democratic mayor says he has it handled." We yeah, expect he is a Republican and he pushed out Lakewood's largest employer, and a key to our health care future for the benefit of a handful of friends. Sometimes these people are just embarrassing to associate with.
