Giving Tuesday

Tomorrow, November 28 is Giving Tuesday. We all have, or will get bugged for money. I just want to share one thing you may, or may not, be aware of. Tomorrow, only, there is a 100% matching donation if made through Facebook to LakewoodAlive. This is money that comes back to our community. Any amount you can give will automatically be doubled. This is an organization that brings everyone together for events like the Front Porch Concert Series, Summer Meltdown, and Light Up Lakewood. They put on community forums for things such as aging in place or drug addiction. They do the Knowing Your Home series to help homeowners understand a project, be it DIY or hiring out properly.
Most importantly, this is an organization that will be out volunteering to do a yard clean up tomorrow. The 49th thus far this year. This is a program they do for those who are unable to do so for themselves. Cancer survivors, disabled people, seniors. It brightens up our neighborhoods, and raises our home values. The entire staff works tirelessly day after day to make our city a better place to live, work & play.
