Rain Gutter Regatta With Scout Pack 68

The other night I had the pleasure of stopping by Lakewood Methodist Church on Detroit Ave. to spectate at Scout Pack 68's Rain Gutter Regatta.
Here are a couple images that capture the excitement.

A good turnout on a chilly night for a boat race.

A good time was had by all, but participants who had built their own boats were tense in competition.

Concentration was as important as the wind.

Many rounds in the evening of racing.

And they are off and navigating!

It seems like silly fun to adults, but...

When you see the concentration on the Scouts' faces you know it is for real.

What a nice, nothing like a regatta to bring on an appetite, so the Scouts had refreshments, fun, and awards.
Thanks to Scout Pack 68 for the invite and the night of fun!
If your kids are not involved in Scouting, visit a Pack, check it out, good fun for all.
