Dem Club Oct. 26, Education in focus

The Lakewood Democratic Club will meet this Thursday, October 26, for an look at education.

Our October meeting will feature speaker Jeff Wensing, president of the Northeast Ohio Education Association and a teacher in Parma schools. Jeff will speak about "State Influence on Local Education—or How the State of Ohio's increased control over education impacts Lakewood schools."

Also, a representative from Cuyahoga County College will speak about Issue 61, the Tri-C bond issue.

This meeting also features our Pumpkinpalooza. Make something pumpkin and bring it to share. Dishes can be sweet or savory and will be judged for best pumpkin dish or dessert. (Note: this is not related to Saturday's H2O event of the same name. If anyone wants to suggest an alternate name for us to use, feel free!)
