I'm looking for clearance, an understanding of the "law"", I don't get it, someone is accused of something, morally, legally, or felony related, an offence, and they are suspended with paid leave. If someone is accused of something horrible, awful or self promoting, why not put their salary into the "court", until time and investigations proves them innocent or guilty of the crime, if guilty, then you have violated the office you swore to serve, and brought shame and suspicion to the position, you have forfeited your contract. You don't get your pay, you didn't give what you said you promised you would give, then your out. Like a tenant in violation, you loose your deposit.

But if you innocent of the accusation, then you should receive all the benefits promised in your contract. maybe with interest. But paid leave?

I'm looking for clearance, an understanding of the "law"", I don't get it, in the news, someone is accused of something, morally, legally, or felony related, an offence, and they are suspended with paid leave. If someone is accused of something horrible, awful or self promoting, why not put their salary into the "court", until time and investigations proves them innocent or guilty of the crime, if guilty, then you have violated the office you swore to serve, and brought shame and suspicion to the position, you have forfeited your benefits. You don't get your pay, no health insurance, no pension, you did not fulfill your contractual agreement. Like a tenant in violation of the lease agreement, you loose your deposit and will be evicted.

But if you innocent of the accusation, then you should receive all the benefits provided in your contract. maybe with interest. But paid leave?

What if I were in charge of the high school boosters marching band fund, or the boy scouts, and I stole money to gamble or furnish my drug habit, or molested scouts, and, I am placed on paid leave? To continue to enjoy the life I have become accustomed to? Shouldn't all your compensation, your salary be placed within the court's jurisdiction? I'm just asking. If your found guilty of the crime, how does society retrieve those benefits you received during the investigations?
