Bill Gorton was a Cleveland Clinic Trustee when he wrote Summers, Ken Haber, Subsidium and the rest of Summers' Secret Step 2 Committee the following:
1. CCF has "no passion" to take care of Lakewood population.
2. Early termination of the lease by CCF would cost CCF $150 Million.
Gorton then voted for the rotten CCF deal TWICE (on January 14, 2015 and December 14, 1015)
And Gorton was a cheerleader for the Clinic and Summers at multiple public forums.
What is wrong with these people?
What were they promised to do something so obviously immoral?

March 2014:
Gorton knew, and wanted to negotiate with Metro:
Lakewood benefits by keeping Lakewood Hospital as an inpatient hospital:
Saves jobs;
Maintains city income tax;
keeps hospital open;
keeps physicians in Lakewood;
Gets compensation from CCF for breaking the lease;
Lakewood Hospital stays in a system.
Metro benefits:
gets a new inpatient facility in the suburbs;
improves the payor mix;
Strengthens relationships with physician groups;
Adds a lower-cost inpatient hospital to their system.
CCF benefits:
CCF wants out of the deal.
CCF doesn't want a hospital, and a family health center won't be profitable for them.
CCF should support our negotiation with Metro.

Seems like a win-win-win to me!
I wonder who made the decision to go with the loss, loss, loss option?
