Halloween and the holidays are coming, and once again we will be on the look out for scary, funny, and different homes around Lakewood and vicinity. As a show of thanks to everyone that takes the time to go from elaborate huge displays, to those just getting started with a pumpkin, we want to hear about it or see it!

What can yoou win?

As of right now.

Winners as chosen on the Observer will win a $50.00 Gift Certificate from Woodstock BBQ (Best BBQ in Cleveland!) or WestEnd Tavern (Famous Bloody MAry Bar and Eggs Benedict Buffet!)

Second place will get the other certificate.

Amazing display on Spring Garden, mostly homemade decorations that are amazing!


Inflatables seem to rull the holiday elsewhere around the city.








Businesses getting into it as well!

While we still have this beautiful fall weather, get out and walk the walkable city, check out the holiday decorations, and have a great time talking with neighbors and friends!

This has got to be one of my favorite times of the year. I remember trick or treating-- plotting with my pals the most lucrative routes. Efficiency mattered so doubles were a good target.

I often go out in the early evening, and walk up and down a street in pursuit of signatures to end gerrymandering by ballot measure.

I thought of this post this evening, because the Halloween decorations this month add a delightful element. As it happens I was just on Spring Garden today. (I liked the household whose decorations mostly consisted of plastic skulls on poles. Macabre understatement.)

I should bring my camera with me for the next couple of weeks.
