Firefighters Jeff Kantorak and David Paydock are headed to Houston with a fully loaded  truck of much needed supplies. Jeff is an owner operator of a tractor trailer who hauls recycled materials for Recycle- It LLC.  Kantorak and Paydock were hired together in 1989 and remained best friends for their entire career. Both have served the City of Lakewood for the past 28 years. Jeff Kantorak approached Paul W. Osad, Vice President of Recycle-It LLC and graciously offered to drive to Houston with his tractor and trailer, at his expense, with donated supplies to assist in the recovery effort for Houston. Members of the Lakewood Fire Department Local #382 wanted to help with this project as well and are covering the fuel costs. Thanks to area businesses’ including Marc’s, the cargo has been pouring in at Recycle -It headquarters. Jeff and Dave will be hauling diapers, water and other needed clothing items to the Houston area. Thanks to Jim Cahlik State Farm, and all who took part in this great effort of relief, to the people affected by this storm.
