A Few Lakewood Eclipse Photos for You

Took a page from my old photographer's book, just to see whether I still had it in me, so here are a few eclipse photos, taken by me in the backyard just now. Caution...You need special equipment etc...for this stuff. Disclaimer: I re-ran the third photo as a computer screen shot to save time and enhance background. Just wanted to give you these as soon as I could. Paper plates were used for fish and face. :D

Fish theme too good to ignore if you compare eclipse to a certain shark movie...

Enjoy!

Back to the banjo! :D

Nice plate images, we used leaves.

It wasn't much here but I got a couple.

Outstanding, Jim!

Reminds me of one of my wonderful LHS Science teacher's (Mr. Yarian's) planetarium wall charts!
'
Reminds me of the phases of the moon, or perhaps the "faces of the moon?"

Reminds me of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" too...

...or more specifically, their song, "Eclipse".

That song also reminds me so much about some of the difficulties that we are presently going through in Lakewood.

As Jim wisely illustrates in his image above, you can look at something in many ways. :D

Even the dark side of the moon gets light, but rather than reflecting it to earth, it simply reflects light elsewhere.

Between the amazing things that Jim has done with the Observer project here, along with Alex Belisle's own "Faces of Lakewood" project, and so many other well-intentioned people doing their level best to help our city, so much good is STILL happening these days that should serve to inspire the rest of us...

...whatever else happens to happen with the sun and the moon, because, (and just speaking for m'self here) as the great singing Carter family taught us, I think that we do need to try to keep on the sunny side, and reflect our reception of whatever "Light" that we receive in all directions, just as the moon does.. :D

Just sayin'... :D

Back to the banjo... :D

While not as spectacular as an Eclipse The Moon is gorgeous with Jupiter.
