For the past couple days, one of the bald eagles have been hanging out near the Lakewood Dog Park, while working the river for fish.

The nest of the breeding par of bald eagles is about a mile and a half up river from here. But they have given birth to at least 6 eagles over the past 4 years.

He stopped in the rain, and stuck around for a couple hours while he dried his feathers.

No respect! A starling buzzes him.

A great way to find hawks and eagles in the wild, is listening for crows, and starlings, that not only crate a lot of noise when a bird of prey is around, but repeatedly take turns diving at them, and trying to keep them off their game.

After a couple hours, off he took off and went down river.

If you get a chance, look in the Emerald Canyon, the Bald Eagles are back!
