Hudson announces they cannot afford fireworks!
The local fireworks company offered to pick up 50% of the cost, the city offered free city services. But no one would step up to the plate.
Residents thought it was more important to fix a street than throw a party.
I am not faulting the city of Hudson, just pointing out, tough decisions being made everywhere even in the land of promise and big living.
Here in Lakewood we chose both. But that is because our businesses and residents have stepped up to the plate and taken an active role.
