I found this edition's cartoon to be especially amusing.
Thoughtful pieces in there from Jared Denman and Tim Collingwood.....and lots of summer fun.
I hope folks like my piece on the Royals...they're a fun bunch of kids and their coaches are wonderful folks.

Unless I'm mistaken, Jared Denman's piece has not yet been posted online.

The Jared Denman piece is up, thanks for pointing that out. It is really concise and clear and worth reading; there's so much value in a piece that can sum up the situation in one page at this late date--also great for readers who have just come in on this discussion.

I loved your Royals piece. It would be great if you posted the times that they play. A baseball game where the score doesn't matter would be pure fun and a relief, especially for those of us that are Indians fan.

Thanks for the kind words.....but unfortunately their season just ended!
You are one of MANY people that has asked me that question.....I feel bad that I didn't do the story sooner, I think their attendance would have gone through the roof.

I am consistently impressed with the moral courage and willingness of Lakewood citizens to expend time and treasure to ferrett out the truth and safeguard it with no benefit to themselves. The dry rot in American government transcends parties. I'm priveleged to know and work with all of you!
