Eagle Update - They Have Fledged, Every July 4th Weekend!

Like magic every Independence Day most of the Bald Eagle hatchlings in the area for the year fly.
First they branch, around mid-June, which is to hop from nest to branch in an ever growing space, then up while flapping wings. At this point they have small pin feathers stopping them from getting up, but great for working muscles.
The two Bald Eagle hatchlings branching out. At this point they are nearly full size, which would be a 6' - 7.5' wingspan.
But eventual that take to the air, and it is pretty interesting watching them get used to flying, and landing.
Falling from a high branch they open their wings, and grasp for air, then glide.
Then flap...
... then fly.
Now they have to nail the landing, and it is tough.
Coming in from above, looking good.
Panic setting in!
Ohhhhhh no!
It hung on with those massive talons!
Dad, pictured here, and mom will hang around another week, then everyone scatters from the nest that is only used for breeding.
Mom misses the nest with a fish last week, causing out cries from the young.
