So, we can see a core group of Lakewood Insiders working closely with CCF and City Hall to target vulnerable seniors.
Keep in mind that Mrs. Haber's husband, Defendant Ken Haber in the taxpayer lawsuit, "agreed" with CCF trustee Bill Gorton that the $120M investment in Lakewood was a "bogus", i.e. he was involved in proactive misleading of the public on the financial deal--but he never spoke out publicly.

Ask your self, what were the Haber's interests that made them so motivated to mislead seniors, mislead the public at large and join in a police report designed silence their opposition exposing them and the other insiders?

What went wrong with Lakewood's highly respected civic leaders?

to get the facts about the ER out into the community and answer questions, both of them liked the idea. Dr. Welsh is
on vacation this week. Toni Gelsomino joined the conversation and will help organize locations, especially for the
seniors.

This raises additional questions.

When did any board member of the Lakewood Hospital Foundation ("LHF") learn that there was a plan to close Lakewood Hospital?

Did Lakewood Hospital Foundation continue to raise funds for Lakewood Hospital knowing that it was likely to be closed?

What were the overlaps between the boards of LHF and Lakewood Hospital Association?

Didn't Lakewood Hospital Association have a duty to disclose the decanting plan to LHF? Did it meet that duty?

I am in agreement that this raises additional questions.

1. I read that Toni Gelsomino (Lakewood's Director of Human Services) was, according to the e-mail, charged with the task of organizing these "community meetings". Did a BuildLakewood member advise her to set up these meetings on behalf of BuildLakewood? This seems to be walking a very fine of campaigning using City Hall time/funds. Of course, Ms. Gelsomino likely has to follow orders of Mr. Summers/BuildLakewood.

2. Mr. Gilman's name appears yet again. According to the e-mail, Mr. Gilman liked the idea of the community meetings. In this conversation, did Mr. Gilman agree to discuss emergency room procedures, transport times, or medical information? We may never know for sure. If he did, however, I suspect this would be another violation of state laws relating to practicing without a valid paramedic license.

3. One person copied on the e-mail is a Mary Glenmere. If you take your browser to glenmerehouse.com, it appears to go to an ocean resort in coastal Maine. If this resort were overseas, I would be very concerned, but that is not the case. Nonetheless, what is Ms. Glenmere's involvement in this?

As I recall, Ken Haber had been a trustee of LHF at the time Mike Summers became mayor in 2011. Ken Haber then also became an LHA trustee in 2011 and remained on at LHF---I think he may have been the President of LHF for that period of time but he was definitely the President of LHF while he served in LHA's secret Step Two Committee with Summers and two CCF trustees. Also, Wendy Summers was an LHF trustee as was the mayor's hood freind Jay Foran. Foran organized a public forum (I think in 2009) with the Haber's neighbor, Mary Ann Crampton to do the spade work for CCF in the "vision for tomorrow" that was intermally coined the "dealcanting plan" by CCF and "Lakewood Alive" by Foran, Crampton and Brian Powers (Fitgeralds good buddy). So I think it is fair to say that LHF "leadership" was in on this pretty much from the beginning. Ryan Nowlin's law partner, Joe Gibbons, was an LHF trustee before joining LHA and opting to close the hospital--he resigned due to an Ohio Ethics Commission opinion. LHF raised money right up thorough 2015 without a peep about the hospital closing.

Others might know more because I'm pretty new to the party.

That is Mary Osburn--a former CCF employee and Build Lakewood activist---she was the first one to the police station to try to silence opposition--after a meeting of Build Lakewood at which Bleeders were encouraged to file reports that they "felt threatened"--Why did folks need to be told that they were somehow "threatened."

It is truly ironic that these people who misled and took advantage of vulnerable seniors claimed that they were being "bullied" and "threatened."

Why did they target the elderly? Hmmm

Haven't they threatened the health an well being of the elderly?

Does anyone remember several months ago when I asked about the payments made to Mary Ann Crampton under miscellaneous in the city check book?

Remember it appearing as if Mr. Summers sent all his "friends" and some city workers and their family members on the Deck to try to defame my character?

I suspected then that I was about to uncover something that this alleged band on thieves did not want exposed.

Could this be one of Mr. Summer's and Company's projects that they paid Ms. Crampton for? Of course, couldn't she have backed out if she suspected something was not on the up and up? It appears that Ms. Crampton was a willing participant.

I am not sure if it is the same payment, but I do remember Mary Ann getting paid for consulting and leading a weekend summit for City Hall having something to do with low income families for the City.

I am really fascinated by the number of people in elected office and civic leaders that signed on to a plan wither, they knew nothing about, or knew all about it. Which begs the question who knew when. As Mark Kindt points out, if LHA or LHF raised any funds for the hospital or improvement of the hospital, while they knew it was closing would constitute yet another fraud on the residents of Lakewood and the donors.

If Mayor Summers, Ed FitzGerald, Nate Kelley, Dru Siley knew in 2010 and or before, it is easy to believe that the entire LHA Board and LHF Board would have been part of it and the deceit that would follow.

The email I posted above was just one page of 3,700 pages (many duplicates and blanks) release in June, 2017 regarding just 8 of my 300 public records requests. While this single record raises many more questions, it also confirms a smidgen of what many thought might be happening behind the scenes at City Hall.

So is it fair to say that all of these folks agreed to and went along with the plan to target vulnerable seniors?

Why are they all so involved and passionate about this? What do they have to gain?

Chief Gilman is not a paramedic, he is the Fire Chief. Prior to that he was the Fire Marshal. He is perfectly capable to discuss any part of his EMS team's work, because he's is charge of the fire department, and therefore EMS.

While Scott and I are on opposing sides of certain issues, I've known him for a lot of years. He has also been involved, back in the day, with teaching C.E.R.T. classes. Bill and I participated in those classes and found him to be a fine instructor.

Chief Gilman is not practicing without a license.

An educated guess, the mother lode resides within " Honest Dru Siley's" e- mails.
Drug Mart... Yeah I know, it's off the board but it informs the discussion.
The McKinley site and all those concessions. Then "The Siley Shift" to VP. No Red Flags there.
Finally the Hospital.
Prevailing wisdom is follow the money.
In Lakewood without question follow the money but I suspect if you want to get to the core of all this, follow Dru Siley's e-mails.

And Councilman David Anderson continues to mislead the public with misinformation on the same topic.

I don't understand. I must be looking at the wrong thing, Brian. I read that this person Kathy Haber is telling all these folks about her intent to hold small public meetings to disseminate information that she claims are truths about the ER. It doesn't say which "facts" they plan to get out. It seems you are drawing a shaky line (perhaps it is not so shaky legally) between getting information out and political activity. I would say it is absolutely the city government's job to let us know about important issues in our community. The assertion, I believe, is that they were telling lies. But I don't see how this document proves that at all.

Again, I am a just a computer programmer; you are a trained legal expert. I am asking these questions from a place of ignorance. Please do not be offended by my probing.

President Obama spent a huge amount of the beginning of his presidency promoting his healthcare agenda and getting out facts about a deal that wasn't law yet, that was very political, etc, etc, etc... I am guessing tons of consultants were used to pull together all their information and little video vignettes, etc.

Trump stumps for his issues too. Is it illegal for elected officials to try to get their plans done in and of itself? (assuming they did not violate laws to do so)

Your point about context is well taken and I may have assumed too much prior knowledge on the part of my readers here.

So here is some context:

1. In 2016 (email above) the group of insiders aka Build Lakewood folks were working closely behind the scenes with CCF to go to nursing homes and convince senior citizens that the closure of Lakewood Hospital would not affect them because, among other things, the hospital ER would continue on in the same manner. That was not true. They promoting their side of the second Issue 64.

2. Back in October 2015, Build Lakewood was spreading lies through campaign literature---and after I made a post here on the Deck calling them out, the same group held a meeting with CCF, City Hall employees and elected official to fabricate police reports against me to try to shut me up. http://lakewoodobserver.com/forum/viewt ... ilit=blood

3. By way of example, one insider, Jay Carson, acting in concert within the cabal made a speech at City Hall in October 2015 claiming that: (1) the insiders and elected officials were victims of a dangerous and threatening "bully"--your truly; (2) that he (Carson) was not representing Build Lakewood; (3) and that the Clinic's money was not behind the Build Lakewood efforts. These claims were later all proven to be lies based upon campaign filings by the PAC aka Build Lakewood which showed Carson was in fact a treasurer for the PAC and that LHA/CCF money financed 90+% of the PAC's lies.

4. When in 2017, the City of Lakewood was forced by Court Orders to produce public records (like the one above) it further exposed the lies that had been told by the insiders, e.g. that they were operating independently of of CCF, et al. and that a free standing ER was as good as one housed at a hospital---They specifically targeted vulnerable seniors with these lies.

As for the mention about of the Bill Gorton LHA trustee admission that the $120M representation of the the value of the hospital "deal" was "BOGUS", the same insider group of Build Lakewood continued to runs with that lie too.

I never said in this thread that it was "illegal"---
