Re: Build Lakewood

Hi Build Strategy Team,
I talked briefly with Mike Summers this morning and I am meeting with Eileen Korey this afternoon. Mike said he is
meeting with Eileen later in the afternoon.
Eileen asked to meet with me to learn about the history, where some skeletons are buried;
I know that City Hall wants to have Build Lakewood play a big role in education and involvement.
My theme with the Mayor is that we are interesting in getting all residents in Lakewood involved with the future of
the medical care needs and the development of the hospital site.
We have a website and Facebook page and
I am going to suggest we are a good vehicle for electronic media;
we need varied information, in short quick to read doses, to share.
Between us, we also need to add to the "likes" on our FB page; I hope that shorter pieces will help with that.
I'll be in touch later today. We do need an update from the city.
Let me know if you have any other concerns; I'm meeting with Eileen at 1 p.m.
Thanks.
Pam Smith

Nice group of neighbors.

PS - Residents, we were paying for all of this out of tax dollars.

God help us.

Build Lakewood play a big role in education and involvement (whatever that is.)??

Will they install hidden cameras? Have a squad cruising the city keeping an eye on things?

And the Skeletons comment is PURE GOLD!

They basically admit there's stuff they need to keep hidden!

Great to know that Build Lakewood is "free-riding" on the City's public relations budget!

I don't see any real issue with this email from Ms. Smith. Clearly, no one is talking about actual skeletons. This is purely a figure of speech. By the date of this email, most of the "warts" were being explored, evaluated and discussed. The good news is that the public employees on the email are all using their personal email addresses. Each of these citizens has the right to organize around public policy issues and solicit information from the municipality. The legislation has already been passed by city council.

The fact that some may disagree with the positions that they took on a public issue does not provide a basis to criticize their First Amendment-protected activities as they organize and seek information from public officials on legislation that has been adopted by a unanimous vote.

This email is a non-issue in my book.

Hilarious.

At least three people copied on this e-mail have put their houses up for sale and booked town. :lol: Two are in other states, while one seems to be in the wind.

Why?

In a town full of coincidences, I find it hard to believe it is just another coincidence.
