According to the docket, SLH attorneys have now filed a motion asking the court to schedule a pre-trial status conference, as it has been over five months since the last update. According to the filing, it was asked that depositions not be conducted until other motions were decided. Meanwhile, five months later...

It was also mentioned in the filing that as more time elapses, witnesses sometimes become more difficult to locate.

That was spot on. Recently, we had another one, this time an elected official put their house up for sale.

To add to this, I would say that it seems odd to me that a plaintiff/defendant would have to ask a sitting judge to “move things along”. If Judge John P. O'Donnell had such a hectic schedule as I once recall him claiming, I would believe that he would want to either:

A. Proceed with the case in a timely fashion (i.e. not sitting on motions for almost six months)
B. Recusing himself and allowing another judge to step in

Actually, there should have been a recusal from the very beginning, but that has been said before.

I heard that for some reason, this thread seems to really be upsetting the mayor. I wonder why!

Jack--- facts have been there for several years. Get this thing done. You did the E.3th Street Parking Garage done real quick. Apply the same time lines and standards here. Stan

Good point Stan.

I guess when it appears that Summers and Company have friends in the court system, it does get frustrating.

Perhaps Judge O'Donnell should look into a Hooked on Phonics program as it appears he does not read very well.

Six months Judge? Really?
