You are cordially invited to the kickoff rally of Tristan Rader's campaign for Lakewood City Council At-large.

Most of you have seen me outline the campaign's basic pitch: open government and an inclusive city, first-rate public services, progressive leadership. If you want to meet the people behind it, Tristan in particular, he's inviting you over to his own house Saturday morning. If you're already on-board and want to support the campaign, we will have plenty of options for you, including our sharp new t-shirts.

We'll have tea and coffee to warm you up, food, and even cake for a certain Lakewood city council candidate's upcoming birthday.

Right across from where 22 houses were taken by the city in 1972 to build the parking garage for Babin, the developer of Lakewood Center North.

From Tristan, and the whole campaign team, a very big thank-you to everyone who joined us today! After setting up, we all kind of stood around glancing at the chilly, wet day in front of us and wondering who would show up…

An amazing group of people showed up. Throughout the afternoon, more people kept dropping by. I am very, very grateful to everyone!
