I'm sure this has probably been brought up more than once in the The Deck's long and illustrious existence ... but ... a recent thread here implied that there are many many many important legislative-related issues to be addressed by City Council and some may be falling to the wayside.

So I ask (again?) ... should seats on Lakewood City Council be full-time position (with appropriate salaries)?

I'm not advocating either way. Just tossing it our there.

For which city?

It has been talked about many times. I am for giving council members $150,000 a year, for salary, staff, neighborhoods, whatever.

It would be fascinating observing what they did with the money?

If they sit in the same seats that aloud the demolition of the Hilliard Theater and so many other historic Lakewood properties, I wouldn't give them the time of day, not a dime, get out of town, my town. Move to Gordon Square, Tremont, Ohio City, North Olmsted, sit on their seat, you wont last an hour.
