Last year at about this time, I thought I saw an oriole in my backyard. I thought maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me. I will be going out today to buy one of those feeders.
Hopefully I will be able to attract a few. Thanks for the tip.

I don't think I've ever seen an Baltimore Oriole in Lakewood and didn't realize they pass through once a year.

I will keep my eyes out, gorgeous birds!

After listening to the call and singing sounds of the oriole, I know I have heard them here before, but, have only seen one in 26 years.

They will stay all summer if you keep the right food out for them.

Hanging sliced oranges on tree branches attracts them as well, but they don't last and it gets expensive to keep fresh oranges.

Slightly off subject, I have been getting red winged black birds at my feeder from time to time. Does anyone else get these birds also?

I bought a feeder today. Hopefully, I will be able to attract some orioles.
