The Lakewood Observer is once again changing our print schedule.
For years we were every other week. This meant some months you had 3 Observers. Well other Observers are a mash up of all different schedules. We now all use the same schedules.
So we are now publishing on the 1st and the 14th of every month.
Instead of 25 issues, or 26 like last year, you will be getting two a month. This is easier in scheduling.
We will also be increasing space for more residents, students, and businesses to write.
More changes coming...

I have my doubts about this, but you've been publishing a newspaper for a decade, not me.
What are the deadlines, in the revised schedule?

I will be publishing a schedule shortly. Generally the 8th and the 24th of every month. See how easy that was!
MJK, I have had my doubts for years on this, but 3 are monthly others bi-montly, two every other week. It makes our marketing kits a nightmare to design. As we grow, we need to get leaner, not crazier. When you throw in holidays, and special editions, it becomes a handful.
Also when you have a month with publishing every week, it is a burden on large advertisers with "timed events" to produce some 4 different ads a month.
Funny sidenote, 6 people were asked for ideal schedules for 2017, all were different. The only one not suggested is the one we ended up using.

That's pretty much what I mean: you're in contact with advertising, printing, distribution and all of the varied participants. You've certainly got a better idea than I do, of what complicates their involvement or what simplifies it.
Carry on, LO.
