enior citizens of the community are invited to a holiday breakfast hosted by Superintendent Jeff Patterson on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 9:30 am at Grant Elementary School, 1470 Victoria Ave. The event will feature music by Lakewood High ensembles and an update on district activities, including school construction. Please RSVP by Nov. 29 by calling 216-529-4074 or sending an email to christine.gordillo@lakewoodcityschools.org. There is no cost to attend!
It was attended by over 60 seniors and other notables.

The students of Grant School, put their best foot forward in many ways especially with decorations!

As the seniors began to arrive, their coats were taken by students...

... they were entertained with Holiday music by Grant's String Ensemble.

Then School Board Member Ed Favre, gave a little talk about Pearl Harbor Day, the State of Hawaii, and the significances of days like Pearl Harbor Day, 9/11, etc.

Superintendent Jeffery Patterson looks on.
Then the students lead the seniors in "The Pledge of Allegiance."

Finally breakfast was served!

A great time was had by all. It is always interesting watching three different generations interact.
Thank you Lakewood Schools.
