Lakewood Schools Breakfast For Seniors At Grant!

enior citizens of the community are invited to a holiday breakfast hosted by Superintendent Jeff Patterson on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 9:30 am at Grant Elementary School, 1470 Victoria Ave. The event will feature music by Lakewood High ensembles and an update on district activities, including school construction. Please RSVP by Nov. 29 by calling 216-529-4074 or sending an email to christine.gordillo@lakewoodcityschools.org. There is no cost to attend!

It was attended by over 60 seniors and other notables.

... they were entertained with Holiday music by Grant's String Ensemble.

Then School Board Member Ed Favre, gave a little talk about Pearl Harbor Day, the State of Hawaii, and the significances of days like Pearl Harbor Day, 9/11, etc.

Then the students lead the seniors in "The Pledge of Allegiance."

A great time was had by all. It is always interesting watching three different generations interact.

It looks great, thanks for the article and photos, well done, wish I could have made it, a chance to mingle, with people around ,my age, I did rsvp, I drove there, I know where Grant School is, but the parking is confusing, I'm old, a first timer, directions are challenging, I wasn't sure which door was the entrance into the building for the event. I wish they had outdoor signs stuck into the ground, ( temporary signs, like "for sale", indicating, parking, entrance to "Lakewood Schools Breakfast" , I didn't want to walk in a door, and have someone say, what are you doing here? so I came back home. I would donate my talents and time to make the signs for the organization if they would like.
