An Urgent care is being built at 117th & Detroit!!! Whoohoo!!! Now we will have 2 Urgent Cares, one at 117th & Detroit and one on Belle Avenue. Who says no one is looking out for the needs of Lakewood, Ohio's 51,000+ residents health needs?

There is another urgent care being put in at Westgate, facing 210.

Mr. Wadden,

Glad to have you here as Mr. Kenny's cancer detector pointing out the toxicity of the Deck and adding so much substance.

Since you are like one of Mr. Kenny's "thought oncologist" surgeons extracting the cancer, clear this up for me with your fact-checking skills.

1. Is the facility going to be an urgent-care center? Yes or no?

2. Does Mr. Crino's comment relate to the Westgate or the Lakewood facility?

3. Does Mr. Crino's comment that the facility will be privately owned make any difference if a healthcare facility is close to our less advantaged neighbors?

"When life is on the line, let's make sure we know the facts." Ted Baxter

May I suggest to you as a surgeon helping purge the "free radicals", please make sure it is really cancerous before cutting.

And please, no alcohol in the operating room, i.e. no over indulgence in fun.

My post was an FYI. An Urgent Care is a health facility no matter if privately owned or corporately owned. The coming facility is identidied as an Urgent Care from a private Doctor at the construction site.

If you, Patrick, deem my comparison to the "ER" the Clinic is operating in Lakewood now as toxic, that is on you. I do own my sarcasm with regards to the capabilities of the free standing "ER" our city officials have declared is sufficient for our 51,000+ residents

I hope the Doctor opening up at 117th and Detroit is affiliated with more than 1 Hospital, will be referring to Metro and UH as well as CCF when necessary. I hope they are successful.

In fact, the former Payless is going to be an Urgent Care with Physical Therapy, just like the North Olmsted Urgent Care. Jennifer Ilgauskas and Nicolas Young are expanding. They will be offering a number of services that, I believe, will be very helpful to Lakewood and Cleveland. To be more precise, they will be offering services that I need.

And I will not have to go to North Olmsted to receive excellent care. These good folks have nothing to do with what's going up near Westgate.

I believe the only reason this alleged "urgent care" is being built is to keep those on medicare and medicaid out of the CCF facilities. Why does almost every EMS run east of City Hall go to CCF - Lakewood first?

My friend had to take her son to CCF - Lakewood ER recently for a burned hand. They reffered him to Metro where he was bandaged up and sent home. Really? Maybe this ER isn't even worth calling a band-aid center.

I seem to recall Fire Chief Scott K. Gilman saying something about the new ER being able to handle everythng the hospital could? Huh?

I would expect a comment back, but perhaps he should refrain since he appears to be legally prohibted from giving opinions due to his 9-year expired paramedic license. I will cut him some slack, as perhaps he is studying for the test or taking night courses so that he may sit for the exam again.
