Well here we are, another election. WE celebrate at least 12 months since Mayor Summers demanded a solution from Magarette Harkness, for a problem he orginally said was "a surprise to him." Yet in his latest literature he mentions he worked on it for 4 years.

Yet another lie. Was it a surprise? NO. Did you LIE? Of course you did, it is what you always do now-a-days.

If Mike is finally telling the truth (ps he isn't, they have worked on it for at least 6 years) where is the solutions? Where is all of this work? All we see is"two pots of gold" being grabbed by close friends and people that worked in secret for six years, not four, on the plan you said first was a lie, then said was a surprise.

City Hall, I hope now comes the long hard road to get to the bottom of the lies, and to restore some sort of trust and faith in City Hall.

Vote Against 64. Liars should never be rewarded for their lies.

At this point Mayor Summers has proven incapable of telling the truth. He's repeated his lies so many times, and for years, that he and those around him think they constitute the truth.

Summers has dug a hole for himself so deep, he will tell anybody anything to get out of that hole.

For some reason it's important to a lot of people to move 1,500 jobs and hundreds of millions in economic activity from Lakewood to Lorain County.

The deal weakens Lakewood and strengthens Lorain County. Who gains and who loses?

This is where you and I have always differed. I have very little control over CCF. However, I expect elected officials to be a little more forthcoming when they decide to completely change the entire dynamics of a city. I know it seems picky, by when City and private individuals conspire to not just sell off our largest public assets for pennies on the dollar, but also move to remove 2,000+ jobs and the tax revenue, to chase their private dreams of running big something, anything, with economic development. I get disappointed. When the City refuses to show the paperwork, for two years, after being caught in misstruth after misstruth, you just have to ask yourself, WTF?

The deal weakens Lakewood, not just by over $100 million, but the lost trust, respect and confidence in a City Hall that rules this community with Lawyers. Walking a fine line of legalities, and what can be gotten away with. Speaking with one of my favorite council people, I asked. "At what point did Thompson Heinez become more important than the discussion, conversation, with residents who voted them in? And education of bringing a community along on something?"

When a City Hall starts with lawyers, we got problems.

Mike, with 24 hours to go, which was it? Surprised? 2 years? 4 Years? 5 Years? 6 Years? I have heard or seen all of these as facts by you are facts by documents.

If anyone is keeping score, SLH has delivered more real FACTS on the Hospital Debacle, then City Hall and their million dollar plus Crisis Management team.
When this started City Hall had 100% of the FACTS and documents, and SLH had NONE. City Hall has fought nearly every document request. Why?

Truly, the courageous, talented, generous volunteers of SLH (and also outside of SLH) have invested HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF HOURS into investigation, research, writing, walking, phoning, and community education on this matter. (This is MANY TIMES more than the hours City Council spent "evaluating" this horrid deal.) SLH has searched for needles in haystacks - and found them. We have brought to the community, the truth, the facts, the background and the future of this rotten deal - and have exposed the lies of so many of our public officials. We have identified the motivation(s) behind this, and the likely payoffs to the folks who created this debacle. ANY ONE of the SLH folks knows more than EVERYBODY in total on City Council.

I am very PROUD of the fine citizens who are SLH. They are bright, they are honest, they are inquisitive, hard working, and they put everything they had into fighting this atrocity that the Mayor, City Council, the Hospital Board, and the Cleveland Clinic, thrust upon an unsuspecting citizenry. They are the best people in Lakewood.

My accolades go also to those who are not in SLH but have worked tirelessly to bring the truth to the fore. You know who you are.

Let it also be know that we are VERY grateful that we have The Lakewood Observer.

... In their orchestrated attacks again Margarette Harkness, and SLH they demanded answers and plans, from residents that noticed the lying and trickery by City Hall.

We have just passed the two year mark since we broke the story, and we have nothing but misinformation and charades by City Hall....

As we enter the SEVENTH YEAR of their plans, and 3rd year of misinformation, lies and the distilling of public assets to private groups run by friends. They are still hiding documents, and refusing to answer even some of the simple questions asked by residents, and businesses.

We also can't forget the alleged vote rigging in the past two elections. Dead people voting. 118 year old persons voting. People voting from empty lots. Made up names and addresses, etc.

I allege that Armond Budish and Mary Louise Madigan might have assisted with this. It appears there was a reason why she was suddenly promoted to a job she definitely was not qualified for. I believe membership does have it's benefits!
