Cuyahoga Dem Party Endorses Issue 64

In the most recent issue of the LO, an article was written stating that the Cuyahoga Dem Party has endorsed Issue 64.

1. Why is the county voting on this? This is a local issue.

2. Did all Cuyahoga Dem Party members vote on this or just Lakewood residents?

Below is a list of just a few members of the Cuyahoga Dem Party. These are the ones that caught my attention:

Marcia Fudge (appointed Dr. Bronson from LHA and Cleveland Clinic’s Regional Hospitals and Family Health Centers to be Commissioner of Medicare Payment Advisory Commission)

Peter Lawson Jones (alleged crook and leftover from Dimora and Hagan days)

Bill Mason (accepted tens of thousands of dollars in campaign money from convicted criminals such as Steven Pumper, Frank Mahnic, etc.)

Parma Mayor Tim DeGeeter (Beachwood mayor accused of double-charging residents on garbage fees, also requires residents to pay for a permit to install a rain barrel)

Chitra Walker (alleged Summers friend, sat on at least one City Hall committee)

Michael P. Summers

Monique Smith

Chuck Shaughnessy (Betsy's husband)

Dan O'Malley

Sam O'Leary

JT Neuffer (alleged Summers and Nickie Antonio friend)

Cindy Marx

John Litten (LHA member)

Karolyn Isenhart

Kevin Butler

Tom Bullock

Stephen Bennett (alleged Summers friend)

Nickie Antonio (allegedly infiltrated Skindell's campaign and pretended to be for saving Lakewood Hospital)

Anthony Brancatlli (Cleveland Ward 12 conucilman accused of sitting on hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars that were supposed to fix streets in his ward, also sits on Cuyahoga Land Bank Board)

Jeff Johnson (Cleveland councilman and convicted felon)

Joe Cimperman (known as Joe “the pothole” Cimperman by many of his constituents)

Merle Gordon (accused by Ohio State Auditor of pocketing thousands of dollars from marriages when said dollars should have gone to city coffers)

Do these people really seem to be on the up-and-up? It appears that me that corruption is endorsing corruption. I think most Lakewood residents can see past this supposed "endorsement". I alleged earlier that the county was involved in alleged illegal activities in Lakewood surrounding the hospital deal, housing scam, etc.

I believe this material has already been discussed here.

Only Lakewood residents voted on this.....but it was all the City Hall insiders, not the rank and file.
The County Machine is another "pay to play" operation.....I was on the Executive Committee in the 1990s.
I believe the annual fee was $30 at the time....it's a fundraiser for the party and insures that insiders can make key endorsements.

I didn't recall this being covered on the Deck, but if only Lakewood residents voted on this, that is even worse. Look at all of the Lakewood City Hall people sitting on the executive committee. They have been listed above. I'm not even sure why the article says that the Cuyahoga Dems voted on it. Perhaps the article should have been called "Lakewood Members of the Cuyahoga Dems endorse Issue 64" instead of "County Dem Party Endorses FOR Issue 64 in Landslide Vote". Slightly misleading.

Again, it would appear that corruption is endorsing more corruption. The Lakewood Executive Committee appears to be almost all Summers' friends. Of course they are going to endorse it. I think most residents are intelligent enough to see past this.

Perhaps there are many more people than I was aware of that must have something to allegedly gain from this.
