Has the "creepy clown" outbreak reached Lakewood yet?
It seems to be happening all over the country...some school districts have already banned clown costumes for Halloween.

I find this insulting to clowns.

You can’t post something different or lighthearted around here anymore. A week ago I posted about all the acorns in my backyard and perhaps what I needed was the use of a pig for a few hours. SEVEN MINUTES LATER (!) someone “responded” (?) with a post about goings on at City Hall. Now Mike posts about the creepy clown thing, and 16 MINUTES LATER someone posts about the goings on at City Hall. And it’s off to the races.
I don’t think Mike was teeing it up for the SLH people. I certainly wasn’t. This place used to be fun and informative. It’s not so much anymore. It’s more like a Lake Erie Monsters game. I went to one once, it was less than 30 seconds before the first fight broke out. Then it got worse. Good hockey? No way of knowing.
I don’t think I’m alone. Virtually nobody who posted five and ten years ago does anymore. I hope Jim can figure out a way of getting control without taking control. It’s surely a fine line. I guess that’s why most online forums are pretty heavily moderated.
Oh well…..

Per your point - back on topic. It's just a matter of time everywhere, see link.

To be fair, I was thinking Bridget's line even before she posted it.
It's not surprising that the Hospital is the dominant topic in town. It's just like Trump is the focus of national news..... it's an unprecedented story.
I am looking for actual responses, though....although I find the whole "clown" topic amusing, a lot of people are concerned about it.
Personally, I'm shocked that none of the clowns has been shot yet. There are 300 million guns out there, and lots of Dirty Harry wannabes.

Only a few more weeks until the election. Patience.

Me too Mike when I wrote about pigs. I almost didn't post because I knew what was coming. That's just the problem!
Bridget: "Have a sense of humor!"
Wow you don't know me much do you....
And Corey yes, I drifted. But I sort of "meta-drifted." That's when you go off topic to talk about others going off topic....

Ms. Conant, I'm upset you beat me to it.
I was working along the lines of yes they have reached Lakewood.
In fact they've been spotted purging residents at The Women's Club Pavilion.
Be careful out there.
You could be next.
Go Tribe!

No, Tim, I don't know you, so I don't know if you have a sense of humor or not. That's the bad thing about the written word - it doesn't convey nuances.
But, I'm glad you're here!

I meant it in a positive way. See, even I can change.
