If The County Joins In, You Will Know It's BS

Now that Brent Larkin has chimed in, we know the residents are moving closer to making our government accountable. Lakewoodites seeking favor and kudos from outsiders, because none from inside can speak. Every year for too many years, Brent Larkin would stop by Lakewood Kiwanis to give us the gentle back of his hand, as a dying city. Rarely correct, and puzzled about Lakewood residents and the power we have when we work together to hold government accountable.

Brent remembers full well when he and the PD backed the "Westend Strip Mall" plan by the same people. Lakewood could not survive without the grand strip mall built overlooking the canyon. You know the very place you want a strip mall. That would have also displaced 1,500 of "those people" which also would have helped the community survive, well up until they needed they for the census.

The Lakewood Observer was formed by members of City Hall, the School, Library and residents to offset outsiders coming in telling us what is best for us. It is the hallmark of all Observers, run and written by the city they are in, for this very reason.

If County Government weighs in, it is because the regionalists, want Lakewood dead and buried so it can be run from the county level. After all this was Ed's and others big dream, the regionalization of the County. Ed would become king of the county, then king of the state. The king's court like Kevin Butler would be Attorney General, and everyone would be fast tracking everywhere. All they had to do was ruin Lakewood, run out our largest employer, hospitals, and keep millions for themselves.

I have been saying it almost as long as this project has existed.

There is proof back to 2008 that Fitzgerald and Summers were part of the secret Insiders group whose goals were included "regionalization of healthcare."

It is documented.

In a Facebook post Jennifer Pae stated that the loss of Lakewood Hospital would " have no net affect on the region".

Why would our City leaders accept such a bad business deal? Can you imagine any elected official in Avon seeking to close down a major health care business and move it to Lakewood?

This Mayor is seeking to convert a public asset into a private playground. Well connected people have been promised a piece of the action. The public be dammed.

Vote against 64. Stop this bad business deal.
