Phone calls to shut down a charity

It has come to my attention that a person, or people, have been calling participants of my charity's events claiming that I am a "cyber bully." They are telling these businesses and organizations to stop supporting and contributing to the charity. They claimed it was bad for their business to show support of the charity.
I would rather you contacted me and we can speak than have you go the distance to take support and funding away from children with heart disease.
It is sickening what has come from this online forum. What a disgrace.
Corey

Wow sorry to hear this Corey. It never ceases to amaze me how childish and foolish small minded people can be. Can you please post information on how to become a sponsor or support your charity/events?

Corey, I would suggest that before you post about your charity being threatened, that you back up your claims with factual information. But then again, you are Corey, who loves to disregard fact for his own deluded version of fiction.
Back up your claims with actual proof and then maybe you can regain some credibility on the Deck. This appears to me to just a veiled attempt at fishing for more donations.
Up next - Kate E. Parker's defense of the indefensible Corey . . . .

I am not really sure how to respond to this...
People on the Deck have been told by others from Save Lakewood Hospital on the Deck to call the sponsors. People listened, acted and it has now happened. I have received multiple emails and phone calls from different organizations with the reports that have been left about me. The person, or people, complaining have never contacted me directly with their complaint or intent for a conversation or discussion.
The Deck prides itself on using real names. None of the calls or emails I have received about the complaints said the person on the phone left their name. Pretty ironic to not heed your own standards when it comes to something like this and trying to put a charity down and out. I guess leaving your name is hypocritical and situational, depending on what you are hiding.

I am active here on the Observation Deck and within the SLH organization. I have not heard of this activity from either group and certainly would not condone it. I think it is important that we not let mean spirited individuals define a group or organization.

To Corey et al,
I am a Coordinator with Save Lakewood Hospital and I assure you that Save Lakewood Hospital has NOT encouraged nor directed anyone to call your sponsors. In fact the topic has NEVER come up at any meetings or in any discussions. Even the couple times in the last year that the Deck is mentioned, you are not the topic. I am afraid that you will have to look elsewhere for the source of the problems you are having with your sponsors. Anyone who called them is acting on their own without direction from us.
Respectfully,
pam wetula

I join Meg Ostrowski in stating I would not condone such activity.
I am curious: who are these "people on the Deck" who have been told to call your sponsors, and especially who are the "others from Save Lakewood Hospital on the Deck" who made the calls. Did they identify themselves as representing Save Lakewood Hospital?

This is my point exactly. Unless you have proof which would consist of an individual's name, then everything that you have posted regarding this subject is hearsay. Come to think of it,mostly everything that Corey posts is hearsay . . . .
Kinda like this type of exchange:
my brother knows someone who's sister's mother-in-law heard her cousin say . . . .

I confirm all the above comments about SLH's lack of involvement in your problem and would add that I personally deplore any such action, regardless of who did it. One additional note: There are some trolls out there who will disguise their identities in a way to make SLH look bad.

I know you people want to find every reason possible to hate on me, but why would I make this stuff up?
This is completely out of hand. Whether it is you, your group, or your mouthpieces you should be ashamed of behavior such as this. Why do you want to see another organization fail in order for yours to succeed?
Your proof:

I did not, nor would not, make this stuff up.
I know people overlook faults of their own, or own side, while looking for hysteria evoking propaganda against everyone else, but this is beyond absurd.
I would hope that you sincerely do not condone this behavior, but your actions (or lack thereof) prove otherwise. Apparently, you condone it.

Again, you are making accusations meant to smear a group without any proof whatsoever. Sounds like the same old crap alleged during the last election- SLH people were "yelling" at people with BL signs, and other such nonsense.
NO ONE condones someone calling your sponsors. The question is, whether this really is happening or not. For you to just throw out this accusation without any proof, then to insinuate that it was done by SLH people is utterly ridiculous.
If it even happened, the responsibility lies with the individuals involved - Don't drag innocent people into this.

I would include the emails I have received from the organizations referring to the phone calls as well but I think that is not the proper way to handle this.
It happened. Enough said. Continuing to hate and condone this behavior is very telling.

Corey, his wife, close family and extended family have established an exemplary foundation for very good purposes. I would advise all those involved to remind themselves that this effort is a priority of which Lakewood is extremely proud.
All those involved should remember that this is paramount and not be diverted towards that which would detract from a good goal.

Lori Allen has publicly (here on the Deck) disavowed any connection to Save Lakewood Hospital. If I have time later, I will try to look up her statements about that.
I just came from their weekly meeting and the group is opposed to such tactics. No one in the room admitted making any such phone calls.
As stated previously, I personally deplore these actions against your charity.

Lori Allen has been critical of and distanced herself from Save Lakewood Hospital on numerous occasions. Are we to understand that she's "the others from Save Lakewood Hospital."
