Wow, the Deck completely sucks right now. Perhaps the warring sides can settle this in a cage match or something. Or better yet meet for beers and hash it all out.
Anyway, just wanted to express gratitude to councilman O'Malley for expediting the placement of a trash receptacle at the "new" (consolidated) bus stop at Alameda and Detroit, formed from RTA's cost cutting. I dropped him an email about the gathering trash around the new stop and made a request for a trash can -- he replied in agreement, and less than 48 hours later a can appeared. Hopefully, citizenship will prevail and folks will actually use it ...this is never assured but at least the opportunity exists.

This is great. There really is a trash can needed there. When people throw trash down, it can blow into neighborhoods, flowerbeds, etc. This is a great addition.
