Deck Etiquette / Terms of Service

There have been some really nasty exchanges on here recently, including gratuitous swearing. I'd like to remind everyone of this sentence in the very short Terms of Service agreement for posting on the deck.
You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where “The Observation Deck” is hosted or International Law. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned, with notification of your Internet Service Provider if deemed required by us.
I'd like to call attention to the words abusive, obscene, vulgar, and hateful. That stuff should stop.

That should pretty much silence the Deck...and people are saying lawsuits are trying to silence the Deck.

Mr. Rossen, by whatever means, silencing The Deck is your goal. Thank you for the reminder.

Why would that be my goal?

You already broke the "hateful" rule on a thread about following rules. I guess you will be banned from the Deck now.

Todd, thanks for reminding everyone. I may disagree with people now and again, and again and again. However, there is no call for language that is abusive, obscene, vulgar and hateful. Appreciate your reminder and hope this stops so we can all get back to one thing we can agree on : making Lakewood the best city possible.

I hope I haven't crossed that line, by posting my thoughts, concerns and experiences, certainly was not intended.

Jackie, in my view your posts have been well clear of the line.

Todd,
Thank you for posting but obviously rules do not apply here. Or they just simply do not matter.
Nothing to see here. Move along.

And with that, Mr. Rossen absolves himself of community responsibility or accountability. Nothing to see here.

Huh?
Basically, all rules that Todd posted have been broken by any and many parties on the Deck. Are they going to randomly pick and choose who to punish now or is every violator to be punished. They have never enforced any rules in the past, why would they start now? As I said, "nothing to see here..."

Jim lets everyone own their own words.
In perpetuity.

Todd was clearly writing about your freind Kate Parker and her language designed to turn folks away from the Deck and you then shamelessly paint all Deck posters with that same brush.
Your abuse of the truth, your obscene exposure of your mind, and your vulgar relationship with facts, all display your hateful attitude toward the Deck, its founder and Deck posters.
Your attempts to drag everyone else down to your low level of public indecency is transparent with each of your posts.
Hence, "there it is again"
