"Circle the City with Love" Photos

Post by Michael Deneen »

Over 2,500 people gathered on the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge to join hands and form a human circle in a call for love and understanding.
The event took place Sunday afternoon, on the eve of the RNC Convention in Cleveland.
Dozens of Lakewoodites were among the attendees.
The entire event went off extremely well...thanks to all the volunteers, the police, and the folks that came to show their support.

Image
Attendees included (left to right) former Mayor Madeline Cain, Donna Kolis, State Senator Mike Skindell, and Julie Tittl.
Deb Sweeney is the one in front taking the selfie. She loves selfies!

The human chain spanned nearly the entire bridge.
This photo was taken from the western end of the circle.

The event drew a diverse crowd from throughout Northeast Ohio.

There was almost one disturbance when this suspicious looking character arrived. Luckily he was not dangerous.

Leaving I notice the new spot where BrickHaus is building a massive apartment complex. I thought he did rather well with the space.
