Attached are 15 pages of a Richmond Heights Police narrative that show how, in an election year, the Richmond Heights Police (with the help of the US Secret Service) pursued a person sending "Hateful" mailings to elected and public officials. Summers eventually hired the person in an election year (2015).

The police narrative states that 5 people received "derogatory/harassing emails...some recipients received multiple emails" the day the School Superintendent was quoted in the local paper concerning an upcoming levy. (page 4) The police detective in that case wrote: "...with the levy ballot coming up .....I anticipate the potential for more emails.." (page 5). So it appears from the narrative, that the "Hateful" mailings related to media and political events.

When Summers hired this person in the Spring of 2015, Summers was in the midst of a contentious political debate over the hospital facing a challenger to his re-election in an election year.

According to sources, the person convicted of telecommunications harassment had worked on Summers' prior campaign and is a known Build Lakewood supporter--the person is still listed on the BL site as a supporter

According to the Lakewood Police Detective who interviewed this Build Lakewood supporter with (Build Lakewood's lawyer, Jay Carson, present) the Build Lakewood supporter's conduct in 2015 was "very similar to what you were convicted for in Richmond Heights...it almost matches the report pretty close." His 2015 mailings were directed to 2 Lakewood residents who were outspoken critics of Summers.

We are now in the midst of another election year with a pending referendum.

We now know that the person Summers hired is now a plaintiff on a lawsuit filed by the law firm Jay Carson is an associate in

Who will Summers hire this year?

What are his current standards and goals in public hirings?

This all makes Summers look very, very bad. How can we continue to trust our city government?

Has anyone found out anything about this person's actual work as a building inspector?
1) did he do any work as a building inspector?
2) what did he do?
3) do the owners of any of the buildings/properties he inspected/cited align with known opponents, or supporters of those opponents, of the mayor's or BL's plans?
4) who were they, were they specifically targeted, and what was the result?

Or did I just preempt part 4?

Good questions.

There is much to factualize, contextualize and prioritize before reporting and the city continues to stonewall on public records requests.

The context of this post is about the political nature of the employee's prior conduct and his more recent conduct that could be viewed as helpful his boss (Summers) and the campaign he had worked on (Summers).

BTW, I saw Tom Bullock at the Root Café today and he called out across the room referring to me as "Bob Woodward"--it seems his comment might have been a reference to the Summers Gate series, but then again, "nobody reads the Deck." Our perhaps it was because I was sitting with the publisher of a paper that publishes editorials and facts exposing government corruption. I guess Bullock couldn't resist the opportunity as politician to make light of corruption.

Just what I would expect from the "Alfred E. Neuman" of Lakewood politics.

That's pretty amazing.
In his own dim-witted way, Bullock just confirmed Essi's entire story.
If Bullock believed that he was innocent, he would have compared Essi to Alex Jones or some other conspiracy nut.
If I were Bullock and I were innocent, I would have said, "Hey look, it's the Lone Gunmen". (google it)

Instead he compared Essi to Woodward, one of the two reporters that brought down a presidency.
The White House and its allies marginalized and ridiculed Woodstein and the Washington Post for many months before the truth was revealed.
In the back of his manipulative mind, Bullock already recognizes that the same pattern is playing out here.

Bullock is a fool filled with hate for the truth and those that expose it--he loaned money from his "campaign" to a hateful PAC in anticipation of having a public charity fund the PAC to pay his "campaign" back-- the PAC lied to take money from the underserved. That's how hateful he is toward his less advantaged neighbors. He is also aligned with Carson who was a treasurer of the PAC and the plaintiff (a contributor to the PAC) trying to shut down the truth by trying to "BLEED" the Lakewood Observer.
