Not one word, not one letter, not one vowel, from either Kucinich or Skindell since the election the Deck? After all, this is where EVERYBODY comes to decide all things Lakewood. They seemed so committed and passionate but I geuss that was all about the camera's. If they were rocked to their core about the hospital issue why have they publicly abandon the issue?

Mr Clean(Essi's name for Skindell) and DENNIS! stood on the corner of Belle and Detroit multiple times in a incredibly flawed campaign and yelled at the top of their lungs how much they cared about Lakewood. They lost 24 of 27 precincts.

I understand that they are SUPER busy. Where are they?

Why have they not weighed in once, NOT ONCE, since the election and added the full weight of their incredible influence to the issue?

I would like to start a conversation about how horribly organized the Fall 2015 campaign was executed.

great question. since there is so much earth-shattering proof against the city of Lakewood you would think that Kucinich, at the very least, would railing against the system here. but no. crickets instead. I get why skindell may have gone ghost as he really came off as an addled old man last fall. maybe he forgot where he was?

I know that facts are not popular with Summers fans, but here are a couple:

*Skindell continues to volunteer with the SLH group, so I"m not sure what Wadden means by "publicly abandoned the group".

*Secondly, Skindell's mom is not doing well and moved in with him earlier this year. I went through a similar experience a few years ago, it is not fun.


Now that those pesky facts are out of the way, allow me to point out the folly of Mr. Wadden's "logic".

Skindell was severely limited in his ability to campaign here last year because of his job representing this district in the state house.
Unlike the Marco Rubios of the world, he didn't skip votes to campaign here....he kept travelling back and forth to Columbus to the job he was elected to do.
In one case he even missed the Lakewood Dem Club endorsement meeting because of state business in Columbus.

Wadden loved to criticize Skindell's campaign last fall, claiming that Skindell was "MIA" on the campaign trail.
Wadden preferred the Mayor's campaign....because the Mayor was here full time, and freely used the power of City Hall to boost his campaign. In Wadden's book, that is a good thing.

Now, a year later, Wadden criticizes Skindell for continuing to do his job in Columbus...this time claiming that he "abandoned" Lakewood? You thought he was "MIA" before, so then how could he have "abandoned" Lakewood?

As for Kucinich, he continues to pursue the case at the federal level.

"The wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind exceedingly fine."

Insinuating that Kucinich has done nothing, or that some action would have been taken by now if anything illegal had occurred in the CCF deal is extraordinarily naive.

Refer to the above quote - and read carefully.

Patrick, try to get your facts straight next time.

I suggest people that have questions should call Sherrod Brown's office and ask him what is happening with the FTC. I believe he is part of the "extended family"!

I used google and typed in kucinich lakewood hospital. Perhaps you should give it a try some time.

I still say Sherrod brown will have the answer, that is, if he will tell the truth! He is a member of the extended family!
