...and here's a link that does nothing more than circle back to the list of topics.
Why has this struck such a raw nerve with Corey?

Not a nerve, there are many links that I would have to list that involve hiding, illegal antics, lack of question resolution and allegations. I figured you could close your eyes and throw a marker at your computer screen and most likely his a thread that fits one of the topics.

Why are there so many questions out there unanswered by the Observer and your camp? Do they hit a nerve?

I'd be upset too if it appeared as if my account was hacked and no one seemed to care or be concerned. That wouldn't strike a nerve with you? I would be troubled if simple questions about who's in charge and who has access to personal information went unanswered about a project that is touted as belonging to the people. A lot of energy has been spent here demanding answers and accountability. So it would get under my skin if the board suddenly went silent because of where those requests were coming from. As a long time supporter of Jim's, I can still ask what the heck is going on and please fill me in on who in this project has the keys.

I'm not speaking on behalf of the Deck and I may be wrong, but when I saw those posts with the misplaced comments (under someone else's name), it looked to me like other occasions where someone made an error with the coding while trying to edit down the original post. It's happened to me, Jim, others. If you mess up one of the "quote" codes, it doesn't read properly. Nothing nefarious as I see it.

but you can't mess up the quote code if the quote doesn't exist elsewhere to grab

So I'm wrong. Not the first time.
Time to take a break and wait for JOB to respond to some of this.

So what prevented Corey from "answering" himself?

Copy and paste a quote and his response under it, then type his name and create a response that sounds like O'Bryan?

Anyone can do that.

^^^ this. Far more fun for Mr. Rossen to thrash about, though.

Corey

I am looking at what happened with that post, we have 4 possible answers.

1) I did it while deleting my post this morning which now appears in your post. Most probable reason.

2) You did it, grabbing my post that I deleted after your post, while editing your post n the 15 minute time frame. no quote marks showed up. Highly Unlikely, but possible.

3) A glitch in daily backups, checking, as it is automated, and I do not do programming, I need to have a programmer look at that. Possible, but I think B/Ups are at 3am.

4) Another moderator created a problem. At this point doubtful, but again a possibility.

No matter, I accept the blame on this one.

The good thing, as pointed out by you, was that your words did not change, my quote was at the bottom, without quotes but you called attention to that.

The last time anything like this happened was with Joe Milan, and as with anyone here, if there is a problem. Please repost immediately, and click on the report button and report the problem, document the issue if you can.

At the end of the day we are all human, we make mistakes. If you kept a copy of the disclaimer you agreed to, to get in here. There are no guarantees or warranties on participation. Management can, edit, delete, move, or handle content at will. Of course we try to not do it at all. and as witnessed by this, this is the first time you have ever mentioned it about it, and the only other time I know of anything close to this, was with Joe Milan, I hope it continues to be a very rare occurrence.

As I stated back in January, we are working on a new board, new members, new rules and new people on the Deck and in the paper. Please excuse our dust, and any issues.

As for getting back to you immediately, if you haven't notice I am rarely on the Deck this month or next, even regularly. I am helping two other cities start projects and Decks.I responded as fast as I could after I asked around about it.

Peace, out.

Stan, didn't take you as a Kiol Aid drinker.

Wrong, not solved. Nor was it my error, my editing or anything to do with me. After his typing in my account it still had me as the last poster on that thread. He was snooping on my account. Plain and simple.

I didn't even notice his typing until later after awhile. Once I noticed it I pointed it out, whatever timeframe that was. I'm guessing there is also a dust invested time stamp problem, too.

Too easy of a brush under the carpet.

He is admitingly in the wrong. And snooping in accounts.

How long has this been going on?
What other accounts.

Why do you feel Jim can do no wrong?

Because if someone is going to hack an account...they are not going to just post one "quote" post. Seriously...if i hack an account i am going to town. I am posting all over the place, i am saying everything under the sun. I am not just doing 1 post and leaving.
Have you ever been hacked? I have. It took me months to straighten it all out... MONTHS.

This whole "issue" is dividing a city. Dividing friends. Reminds me of the pitbull fight (and you know how i feel about that). This is sad. I used to love this city, now I can't wait to move.
