I grow weary of the insider implied. If you have something to say , say it.

This is so common on the Deck from him you should be used to it by now.

Just wait until summer for more details...as his saying goes.

Corey is right, it is as common as people telling other people what to post or not post. It is as common as people posting inane comments in the middle of a serious thread.

That came from the high turnover at City Hall over the past administration, lifers that hand been rewarded for work, being put in the dead letter office, life made miserable by "the gang" and eventually quitting going to other cities. Jim Stanhope, the city worker that came up with the "Solistice Steps" after his trip to Brooklyn, where at least in all the documents he gave credit to Brooklyn, and their steps, and submitted in a contest at City Hall. To emerge later as "Dru Siley's idea." When he mentions the letters, the contest, how about a little of the credit. He is demoted, given a desk job in the back, and eventually quits. I have been talking to a bunch of them. Most of them would not talk when with the city, but are finally willing to talk, they have become like a club that meets.

Yesterday, while talking with someone at the city about the problem the term actually used was, "Rats leaving the ship" I mentioned, the term is "Rats leaving a sinking ship," he didn't think that was correct, because "they were too stupid to know the plans."

Hence the graphic.

Yes this is common.

What is even more common is that people who have dealings with City Hall like to keep those dealings secret and support City Hall no matter how corrupt it is.

Should we just be used to that too?

Dru Siley has quit the Lakewood Planning Department and City Hall.

We wish him luck in wherever he ends up, thank you for your time here.

Do we know he is leaving for private sector (or perhaps something still in the public sector)?

    Splash goes Madigan.
    Splash goes Siley.
Hey King Rat, it must be getting lonely at the helm of the S.S Mendacity.

Why was Essi's comment deleted? Oh, because they accused that guy of being a convicted criminal? Subtle. Not Mysterious.
