Often I fall asleep listening to the Police Scanner thru The Lakewood Observer, I heard the police chaseing the same suspect, several times a week at the same location, haven't they caught him yet? It's a re-run, a replay, a repeat, whar's up with that?

Maybe it's just on the weekends? Am I mistaken?

Jackie

The only way to get a repeat through the scanner link we use is if you subscribe, then you can go back. Without giving them money, it would not happen.

Of course one of the problems with scanners is you only hear bits and pieces and rarely hear outcomes.

Jackie,

I know what you are talking about. This sometimes happens overnight for an unknown reason. I find that if you restart the scanner when this starts happening, it usually resets itself.

Another option for a scanner is to add the Pulse Point app to your phone. This app is available at Pulse Point.org. It gives you a choice of agencies to follow. Lakewood FD is one choice if you select that and then touch the bottom of the screen there is an on/off button that will allow you to hear Lakewood Fire, Westshore Fire and Police Departments. You can also set alerts to inform you of fires or other incidents. The app also shows the locations of all of the registered public access AED's located in an area.
